Assistance for low-income single-parent households in Mie Prefecture Single-parent households in Mie Prefecture are eligible to receive vouchers worth 20,000 yen in the form of either a digital voucher or a prepaid card.

You will need to provide proof of your identity.
Please have one of the following ready before applying:

Driver’s license (copies of both sides will be required), My Number Card, or identification document issued by a government agency
Proof of identity must be within expiration date.

Eligibility

Persons to whom both (1) and (2) below apply are eligible.

  • Resident of Mie Prefecture
  • Recipient of the February 2026 child rearing allowance from Mie Prefecture or a municipality within the prefecture in March or April 2026

Method of distribution

  • When applying online

    If you requested a digital voucher, you will be sent an email with information on how to redeem it once your application has been reviewed. If you requested a prepaid card, it will be sent to you by mail.

  • If you would like to receive an application form by mail

    If you request that your application be mailed to you, you cannot choose to receive a digital voucher; you will be issued a prepaid card, which will be sent to you by mail.

Note that the application review process typically takes about 5 days from the time of application, but this may vary depending on the volume of applications.

    It has been confirmed that some recipients who have selected PayPay to redeem their digital vouchers are currently experiencing issues with successfully adding funds to their account.
    We are currently working to resolve this issue.
    The issue is expected to be resolved in stages starting Wednesday, June 24, 2026, and recipients should be able to properly add funds to their account.
